What Should I Do If I Receive a Defective Product?

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or not as described, follow these steps:

1. Inspect the Product Immediately

  • Check for visible damage or defects.

  • Test the product (if applicable) to confirm the issue.

  • Keep all original packaging, tags, and receipts.

2. Contact Customer Support

  • Reach out to the seller or retailer as soon as possible.

  • Provide:

    • Order number & purchase date

    • Clear photos/videos of the defect

    • A brief description of the problem

3. Request a Resolution

Most companies will offer one of the following:

  • Replacement – A new, working product.

  • Refund – Full reimbursement (may take 7–30 business days).

  • Repair – If covered under warranty (common for electronics/appliances).

4. Return the Product (If Required)

  • Follow the seller’s return instructions.

  • Use tracked shipping and keep proof of return.

5. Escalate If Unresolved

If the seller does not respond or refuses to help:

  • Dispute the charge via your payment method (credit card/PayPal).

  • File a complaint with consumer protection agencies (FTC, BBB, or local authorities).
